Brain Injury Attorney Facts
By Ken Marlborough Accidents can harm an individual momentarily or permanently or may render a person physically or mentally handicapped for the rest of his life. Out of the various kinds of injuries that can result due to an accident, brain and spinal injuries are the most dangerous. Brain injuries may cause material or vocational changes in individuals. Brain injury may result due to serious accidents such as vehicular accidents, falls, sports injuries, or acts of violent behavior. These injuries may not, at all times be visible externally and sometimes can appear to be extremely minor. However, even in these cases, an injury to the head can be very complex and life impairing because these injuries can have an effect on the brain. A lot of adjustment and patience on part of the victims and their family members is required to handle the after effects of brain injuries. The resultant effect of brain injuries depends on which part of the brain has been injured the most. In cases where victims have been injured due to the action or negligence of another person, a criminal case can be filed in the court with the assistance of a qualified attorney. Several attorneys particularly deal with brain injury cases. In case of severe brain injury, attorneys can fight a suit in the Supreme Court claiming compensation for the victim's medical expenses and life long handicap. Several law firms favor to keep highly paid attorneys who handle different types of brain injury cases. Therefore, as an attorney, it might be a good move to specialize in this particular stream. The attorneys dealing with brain injury cases have to work with a team who prepare the case. The team comprises of legal specialists as well as medical specialists. Victims or their family members can choose the right brain injury attorney by enquiring into a few details. They can start their search on the Internet by giving details of their location. This will offer them names of several local attorneys plus some sites that have an option of "refer attorneys." Individuals can call or email 3-5 attorneys and enquire about the necessary details. Individuals can also find out the level of experience and competence these attorneys have by finding out how many brain injury cases they have dealt with and the kind of experts they have hired for their clients. Brain Injury Attorneys provides detailed information on Brain Injury Attorneys, Traumatic Brain Injury Attorneys, Aquired Brain Injury Attorneys, Anoxic Brain Injury Attorneys and more. A Look at Brochure Printing Services
By Max Bellamy A brochure can be a wonderful promotional tool for a wide range of professionals, but getting them set up can be daunting. There are many brochure-printing services available that cater to both the amateur and professional. You can find them in a number of ways, including the phone book, the Internet, graphic design and advertising journals, or word of mouth. Some companies will provide typesetting, design, color separations (four-color process), color proofing and proofreading service, while other companies just provide the most basic color printing, folding and shipping. There are brochure-printing companies that will do everything for you; all you need is a clear idea of your brochures requirements and whether it is business, promotional or another application, and the brochure company will take it from start to finish. Brochure design can be a challenge, so you might consider working with the professional designer that many brochure-printing companies offer. Some companies even offer sales literature development assistance and strategic marketing plans. However if you do your own design, copy writing, typesetting and art placement, and use these services sparingly, you will save money. One thing to keep in mind if you choose to do so is that most basic brochure printing companies will warn you that they will not proof read your work, and that corrections cost extra. If you simply start at the beginning with a step-by-step review of your needs, many companies will walk you through the features and benefits of their products and services. Because there is so much competition, many services (such as shipping) are offered at a discount or even free. Furthermore, most brochure printing companies will provide their own customer service representative who will work closely with you to make sure your job runs smoothly and efficiently through the entire process, from pre-press to final distribution. You should investigate thoroughly each brochure printing company and the services they offer to make sure they meet your requirements. A well-designed brochure can work wonders, and are well worth the effort. Brochure Printing Info provides detailed information about cheap, color, and full color brochure printing services, and advice on finding a brochure printing company and quote. Brochure Printing Info is the sister site of Laser Toner Web. Better off Alone!
By Michael Douglas For the uninitiated, a 'quirkyalone' is a person who enjoys being single. Although not averse to the idea of a relationship, they would rather stay alone than date just for the sake of dating. The concept originally began as a personality type. Among a diverse group of people who identified with it (married, single, divorced, or widowed) soon grew to become something more. A new, articulated set of ideas on relationships expressed through vocabulary: quirkyalone, quirkyslut, and quirkytogether (the quirkyalone way of being in a long term romantic relationship). Quirkyalone is not anti-love. It is pro-love. It is not anti-dating. It is anti-compulsory dating. Although quirkyalones enjoy solitude, and sometimes even need and crave it, they are not loners. They typically have a strong network of friends and most place a high premium on friendship. Some have even been known to bring friends on dates! They are part of a growing population in our society who live full and fun lives without feeling the need for a formal material relationship. In fact many quirkyalones see no reason to date for the purpose of sex. Their approach to being with others has more to do with friendship without the need for a primary relationship. It's their desire for independence, for any number of reasons, which precludes the necessity for a "significant other" in their lives. It also spawned a holiday. International Quirkyalone Day (February 14, of course!) is a Do-It-Yourself celebration of romance, friendship, and independent spirit.
As the term's use becomes more frequent in our culture, other terms such as "old maid", "spinster," and "confirmed bachelor" are facing extinction. However, even though this new all-inclusive term stands a good chance of catching on. Whether it's their need to invest themselves in a career or a mindset that simply cannot see themselves in a marital relationship, the message to the rest of us is that they should be both understood and accepted. ARE YOU A "QUIRKYALONE?" Always wondered why you like to be by yourself and why the opposite gender just doesn't interest you anymore? Answer 'yes' or 'no' to the following questions to see how quirkyalone you are. 1) You have a talent for self-reflection. 2) You're excited about a successful, interesting life with or without a mate. 3) You create and maintain chosen clusters of friends. 4) You see life as a big choose-your-own-adventure kind of thing. 5) You support the idea of dating but not necessarily for the purpose of sex. 6) You prefer solitude to a relationship where you have to restrain n essential part of yourself. 7) You have a general compulsion to leave a mark on culture or society, to express yourself either through art, business, literature, or even social activism. 8) You recognise the ways society dictates happiness, primarily through romantic love, and believe this approach to a human failing. 9) You have had a taste or glimpse of a great relationship/encounter, which intensified your desire to be open to a similar experience again. 10) Your talent to deconstruct of love songs is equal only to your vulnerability to them. Answers: 0 to 3 "Yes" responses: Sorry, but you're not a quirkyalone. You should sign up with an Internet dating service right now and dig out all the singles in your area. 4 to 6 "Yes" responses: You are a borderline quirkyalone. This means that you may still want to live with another almost quirkyalone and be a quirkyalone couple or might just want to sleep in your own room while your significant other sleeps in his/her own room. 7 to 10 "Yes" responses: You are definitely a quirkyalone. Instead of romancing another person, you will spend your life romancing life for all it's worth. Along with a growing segment of a society who are committed to remaining single, you now can refer to everyone like yourself using one single word. Gift Giving Made (A Little) Easier
By Suzanne Davidson So, you dread the thought of having to buy gifts for Christmas. Friend or family member has a birthday or anniversary coming up, and you still dont have a gift? Well, weve all been there and done that. None of us want to do it again. Yet we always seem to be in the same sorry spot each year. As Mark Twain said: Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow. That may be great advice for yard work, but its terrible advice for gift giving. Waiting too late to buy gifts can cause several problems, including stress, choosing less than stellar gifts and experiencing holiday shopping misery. Lets look at several ways to avoid those problems. 1: Start thinking of gift giving as a regular part of your day-to-day life. Dont think of it as a rare, necessary evil. You need to adopt a new mindset: one that tells you that any day could be a great day to find that perfect gift for family or friend. Once you get in that frame of mind, there are several things you should do to make gift giving fun for you and great for the recipient: 2: Make a list of the people you exchange gifts with and a calendar of the dates you expect to give them gifts. When you receive an invitation to a wedding or party, mark that date on your gift calendar. This will help you get organized, which is usually the first step in any worthwhile endeavor. 3: Keep that list in a handy, convenient place in your home or carry it with you. That way you can easily access it when you need it. 4: Have an idea? Its funny how youll get one right after holidays, birthdays or other gift-giving occasions. Of course, by this time you have spent quite a bit of time thinking about your gift(s). When you have an idea, write it down on the handy list mentioned above, so youll be one step ahead of the game next year! 5: Listen year-round for that friend or family member to say or do something that tips you off to the perfect gift! When you pick up on it, youll have a place to write it down. This will help you buy that just-right gift and prevent gift panic, or worse, the dreaded Christmas rush. 6: Buy the great gift you just wrote down! There is absolutely no reason to wait to buy a gift for any occasion if you have an inspirational (or just good) idea, unless you think it may later go on sale. Otherwise, buy that gift as soon as you can! To make gift buying even easier, buy your gifts online and have them shipped to you. In many cases you can even have them wrapped for you by the merchant. 7: Buy a generous gift WITHIN YOUR BUDGET! Two things you want to avoid, in decreasing order of importance: being seen as a cheapskate (or worse, having no gift); or going overboard on a gift, which usually means spending more than you can afford and probably making the recipient uncomfortable. Its also easy to spend too much on someone (like your spouse or kids) and then find that you have little or nothing for other important people in your life (like your parents, siblings or friends). So set a budget for your gift buying and stick with it. 8: Once youve purchased your gift(s), you need to have a place to put it (or them). So, make room in your house, apartment, condo or whatever, and create a gift closet. Keep it stocked with the great gifts that you wrote down on your handy gift list and then purchased (within your budget). Presto! You will suddenly rise to the occasion with a great gift, or an armful of great gifts, and you and your recipient(s) will be much happier for it. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present. ~ Babatunde Olatunji Suzanne Davidson works in Marketing, Event Planning and Community Relations. Food - Breads
By Michael Russell If you sit down and really think about it, there are more kinds of breads than you can possibly imagine. While we're certainly not going to try to cover every single variety and brand, we will touch on a few of the more common ones. While nutritionists will claim that it's probably the most worthless thing you can put in your mouth because of the refined white flour, white bread is probably the best selling bread in the United States anyway. The brands of white bread are numerous to say the least. You've got your Arnold, Wonder, Pepridge Farm and a slew of others, not to mention all the bargain basement store brands. But white bread isn't just white bread anymore. You've got your thin sliced, you diet white, your enriched white and so on. No two white breads even taste anything alike. When you think about it, that's not a bad little trick, even if they all do have the nutritional value of a tree stump. So thank goodness we have whole wheat bread to the rescue. While most commercial whole wheat breads probably still have too much sugar in them, they're still a step up from white, especially in the fiber department. White breads have almost no fiber at all while whole wheat breads have anywhere from 2 to 3 grams of fiber per slice. So if nothing else, whole wheat breads, not to be confused with whole grain or multi grain breads, are great for keeping you regular. Most of the white bread companies also make whole wheat, but your better whole wheat breads are the off brands. Then of course you have your rye breads. Rye bread is something that you just have to have with corned beef. There's nothing like a corned beef sandwich with a little mustard on a good Jewish rye bread. Most of the better rye breads come with caraway seeds, which are pretty much an acquired taste, but there are those that come without seeds. Probably the most popular rye bread is Beefsteak Rye. Think we've covered it all? We haven't even scratched the surface of the bread army. There's rye's fancy cousin, the pumpernickel bread. This bread is probably one of the heartiest and tastiest breads you will ever want to eat. These breads are very high on fiber and can be a meal in themselves. Then of course you've got bread's cousins. These are your rolls, bagels, croissants and the like. Each one of these has their special purpose. For example, rolls, which come in a zillion varieties alone, are great for sandwiches where you want to really pile up on the lettuce and other condiments. Bagels are great for cream cheese and other spreadables and croissants are good all by themselves or with a little butter or jam. And still, we've just scratched the surface. Yes, there are more kinds of breads for more kinds of occasions than you can possibly imagine. Of course that doesn't mean that you can't slap a couple of meatballs between two slices of rye bread. Who knows? It might actually be good. Michael Russell

Head 'em Up and Move 'em Out!
By Daniel Wadleigh One of the most effective ways to influence potential customers is by using what I call the "irrefutable argument." One of the goals of any promotion is to generate the response, "I'd be nuts not to do this," without actually spelling it out directly. One way to stimulate this response is by describing the consequences of not doing what you have offered as totally unacceptable to any rational being. You are basically: 1) "educating" them to all rational choices and their consequences; and 2) you are rubbing their noses in the situation. By that, I mean that you are confronting them with the choices and gently forcing them to choose. In particular, if you have a product/service that they really know they should act on but have resisted actually taking the step, you are best served by giving them a clear and comprehensive view of all options and their advantages and disadvantages. This forces them to think about it, and makes it more difficult to rationalize not doing what they know they should. Example: Everybody wants a great view, but, you only have four choices - 1. You can leave the curtains open (and endure the glare, overheating and carpet fading) 2. You can close the curtains and only open them occasionally (and have "cave effect", with only occasional glare, overheating and carpet fading) 3. You can plant trees and wait for them to grow up to 20 feet in height. OR, 4. You can put solar shade on the outside of the windows, still get a great view, reduce solar glare, heat and fading by over 70%! When people are confronted with the choices, and, when one choice is superior to the point of "I'd be nuts not to do this", you will get more response than, 'We offer solar shade, and it's great stuff." The number of responses is directly proportional to the level of un-acceptability of the consequences of not making the choice. There is a common phrase, "Great marketing will make a disturbance," and this is why it's great! Along with creating a desire to act, it is also smart to encourage them to choose you. The goal for this response is the same as before, "I'd be nuts not to buy from this guy." If you don't, you will be generating lots of business for your competitor, and he is sure to appreciate the free advertising! Remember that you must elevate yourself high enough above the competition to get them mad. You need to "head'em up and move'em out" to your business, not the other guys. First, you sell Chrysler, then you sell Jones Chrysler. Educating them to the unacceptable consequences of the other choices is paramount to maximizing stimulus-response. Daniel Wadleigh is a nationally published marketing consultant and has programs for start-up and existing businesses including effective web sites, e-mail/database, other non-internet ways to drive them to your website, and low cost ways to get more new customers.
